The song entered the UK Singles Chart at number 26 and has peaked at number 11. The track is the lead single from the duo’s debut studio album Settle (2013). The song was released as their debut single in the United States on 4 February 2014 and since peaked at number 7, becoming their first top ten in the United States.

The track was released on 17 January 2014 as the fourth single from the group’s debut studio album, New Eyes (2014). Musically, ‘Rather Be’ is a deep house and synthpop song that lyrically portrays the protagonists infatuation with her significant other; stating she doesn’t want to be anywere else.

The song was written by Smith and Jimmy Napier. “Stay with Me” is a pop ballad that details the protagonist pleading that his significant other not leave him.

“Rude” is the debut single by Canadian reggae fusion band Magic! from their debut studio album Don’t Kill the Magic. Released on October 12, 2013 by Sony Music Entertainment, “Rude” peaked at number six on the Canadian Hot 100. Internationally, the song topped the charts in the United States and the United Kingdom and peaked within the top ten of the charts in Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, the Netherlands and Sweden.

“Problem” is a song recorded by American recording artist Ariana Grande, featuring guest vocals from Australian recording artist Iggy Azalea. The song was released by Republic Records on April 28, 2014, as the lead single from Grande’s upcoming second studio album My Everything. The song was written by Grande, Azalea, Savan Kotecha, Ilya and Max Martin and the latter two co-produced it with Shellback. “Problem” is an uptempo pop and R&B song which comprises a melody based on drums, saxophone loops and trumpets. The chorus features uncredited background vocals from American hip hop artist Big Sean. Lyrically, Grande has stated that the song is about “the feeling of being absolutely terrified to re-approach a relationship that’s gone sour — but you want to more than anything.”

“Maps” is a song by American pop rock band Maroon 5. The song was released on June 16, 2014, as the lead single from their upcoming fifth studio album V.

#7 A Sky Full Of Stars


“A Sky Full of Stars” is a song recorded by British alternative rock band Coldplay, released on 2 May 2014 as the third single from their sixth studio album, Ghost Stories (2014). The band co-wrote and co-produced the song with Swedish DJ/producer Avicii, with production assistance from Paul Epworth, Daniel Green, and Rik Simpson.

“Bang Bang” is a song recorded by English singer Jessie J, American singer Ariana Grande and Trinidadian-American rapper Nicki Minaj. The song was released on July 29, 2014 through Lava Records and Republic Records, the label that houses all three artists, and serves as a joint single. The song is the lead single from Jessie J’s upcoming third studio album and will also be featured on Grande’s second studio album My Everything as a track on the deluxe edition of the album, set to be released on August 25, 2014. Although set to be released on 29 July, the song was leaked a few hours earlier before its scheduled premiere.

The accompanying music video was directed by Emil Nava and premiered on 6 April 2014. The video features a cameo appearance by English actor Jason Statham.

Michael Jackson feat. Justin Timberlake

“Love Never Felt So Good” is a song performed by American recording artist Michael Jackson, released posthumously on May 2, 2014. Two reworked versions of the 1983 demo track originally composed by Jackson and Canadian singer-songwriter Paul Anka form the first single released from Jackson’s second posthumous album, Xscape. The first version is a solo produced by American record producer John McClain and Dutch record producer Giorgio Tuinfort. The second version is a duet featuring American recording artist Justin Timberlake, produced by American record producers Timbaland and Jerome “J-Roc” Harmon. It is the second collaboration between Jackson and Anka to be released since Jackson’s 2009 death (the first being “This Is It”). The single charted on number 9 in the US and on number 8 in the UK.
